bottom correct drafting five last league lose picks ratio six year
Our turnover ratio last year was at the bottom of the league. If you look at that statistic, everyone's that drafting in the first five or six picks all were in the bottom of the league in that ratio. It's a won-loss deal. If you don't correct it, you'll lose again.

bit city coaching condition position
From a coaching standpoint, it's about measuring what kind of condition they're in right now, where we're at in each position group, but for this city ... I think there's a little bit more to it.

agent handful maybe players process signed staying teams time touch unlike
We haven't told him anything. We're in the process of staying in touch with his agent and it's a process that's probably not unlike maybe a lot of teams at this time with a handful of players that just haven't been signed yet, so there's really nothing there.
advantage davis felt fortunate gave gone grow helped interview opportunity owner situation time timing took weekends year
I think this was different that the situation in Oakland two years ago. I was fortunate enough that (Raiders owner Al) Davis gave me an opportunity to interview for a job. It was the first time I had ever gone through that process. After two weekends with him, I felt like I could interview with anybody. It really helped me grow a little bit. I think the timing today, the timing now, the timing this year was right, and I took advantage of the opportunity.
opportunity unique
I think this was an opportunity unique to the NFL.

team hands ideas
You learn a lot more about all the things that are necessary to be the leader of a team and so there's day-to-day hands-on training that you get and you might not even be asking for it. You try as best you can to be organized, have a plan, know exactly what you want from a schedule standpoint, have an idea of what you would want in a staff.
thinking mind prototype
I think there's a prototype we're all looking for, whether it's Brett Favre or Troy Aikman. And everyone's got that picture in their mind of the prototype at the position.
