Everything worked out for the best. I was fortunate to have won three Cups.
felt stanley three time won year
Obviously, during the lockout year I had time to think about things. I felt I really didn't have anything to prove. I'd won three Stanley Cups. Life's too short, and I felt it was time to do some of the things I really want to do.
believed built cups guess hockey map nice piece pleasure puzzle rebuilding sort stanley three win
I guess I wouldn't have believed it. But it's been a pleasure being part of the rebuilding process, being a piece of the puzzle as we built a championship team. It was nice being part of that and being able to win three Stanley Cups and sort of put hockey on the map in New Jersey.
fixed folks higher hit hurricane increase
We're getting hit with a double-edged sword, the higher seasonal increase and Hurricane Katrina. The folks I feel for are those on a fixed income.
feels glad great knowing listeners opportunity people rely
It feels great knowing that we are here and that people rely on us. We are glad to have had the opportunity to be here, and we are glad that listeners have a place to come to for solitude.
ability greedy guess hung knew last medal might minute mix nearly pack ran run slower steam time
I guess I got greedy after the 3,000. I knew I had the ability to be there and I thought another medal might be in the mix and I didn't run nearly as well. We ran as a pack for about 13 kilometers and then, basically, I just ran out of gas. I ran right out of steam and hung on from that point. My time was about a minute slower then I had run last fall.

We were very fortunate this time, ... There were a few limbs that fell and a few minor power outages.

I'm going to miss that broadcast, but I'm not going to miss not getting home until 11 p.m., ... I just don't have the hours of the day to take care of my research and getting those (broadcasts) out and devoting the necessary research to the station.
carry fear regroup
I'm emotional. There's no question. It's going to be very tough. I just fear that if it starts, it's going to be over. I'll be done. I won't be able to come back and finish. That's how I am. I can't regroup and carry on.
game grew loved physical
I loved the physical part of the game, ... It's the part of the game I grew up loving.
feeling high list nice percent
It's nice to go out feeling 100 percent and being healthy, but that wasn't high on my list of why I'm retiring,
fired fishing gets nice people ready spring thinking
It's nice to have a show that's in your backyard. It gets people to thinking about boating in the spring and gets them all fired up and ready to go fishing again.
career mental parts playing point
At this point in my career I didn't think I could put the mental parts there every day, and that's a big part of playing this game.
