answer concern involve listeners people
first concern is to keep people up to date, to involve our listeners and to answer their questions.
feels glad great knowing listeners opportunity people rely
It feels great knowing that we are here and that people rely on us. We are glad to have had the opportunity to be here, and we are glad that listeners have a place to come to for solitude.
easier emotional front hopefully people playing speak stand
It's a lot easier playing in front of 18,000 people than it is to stand up and speak in front of them. Hopefully I won't get too emotional or too upset.
fired fishing gets nice people ready spring thinking
It's nice to have a show that's in your backyard. It gets people to thinking about boating in the spring and gets them all fired up and ready to go fishing again.
fortunate three won worked
Everything worked out for the best. I was fortunate to have won three Cups.
career mental parts playing point
At this point in my career I didn't think I could put the mental parts there every day, and that's a big part of playing this game.
game player
At this point, I don't think I could put what I want into the game right now and be the player I was.
basically battle line lower lowest man prepare stayed watched wins
We watched a lot of film to prepare for this game, but we basically just stayed lower than (Tennent) did. The lowest man wins the battle at the line of scrimmage.
camp felt prove took training
Every year, I always felt that I had to make the team. I felt every training camp I had to prove myself. I never took anything for granted.
bit came guess guy obviously physical recognized
I'd like to think I was an all-around defenseman that could do a little bit of everything. Obviously I was a physical player. I guess I'd like to be recognized as a guy that came to play every night.
ability greedy guess hung knew last medal might minute mix nearly pack ran run slower steam time
I guess I got greedy after the 3,000. I knew I had the ability to be there and I thought another medal might be in the mix and I didn't run nearly as well. We ran as a pack for about 13 kilometers and then, basically, I just ran out of gas. I ran right out of steam and hung on from that point. My time was about a minute slower then I had run last fall.
honored humbled truly
I am truly humbled and honored to be here tonight.
couple focus forward high kids spending time
I have a couple of kids in high school, and it's time to focus on them. I look forward to spending time with them.
felt stanley three time won year
Obviously, during the lockout year I had time to think about things. I felt I really didn't have anything to prove. I'd won three Stanley Cups. Life's too short, and I felt it was time to do some of the things I really want to do.
