decent seen sum
We have seen glimpses of being a pretty decent team. But a lot of it is the sum of all parts. When they're together, we can be pretty good. When they're not, we get exposed.
chance ending final given half positive pulled season second somewhat team together tough
The season was tough on everyone, but if we had given up, we wouldn't have been able to do what we did in Denver. The team pulled together and got a chance to play in the Final Five. It was a somewhat positive ending to a not-so-good second half of the season.
forming talk team
You always talk about a team forming an identity. You know, I don't know if we have yet. It's kind of a mystery.
effort period played relaxed third
We had a much better effort than Friday. In the third period we relaxed and played with an edge. That's what we have to do.
closer games goal says scoreboard settled walk
I thought Nate settled in after that goal and was OK. But it's another one of those games that you walk away from and the scoreboard says 4-0, and you know it's closer than that. It's been the story of our season.
against career chance good isaac lead older players season time
We need performances like that and like we had against Wisconsin. At this time of the season you look to your older players to lead the way. Isaac has had a good career and we'd like to give him the chance to get to 61 wins.
chances confident credit ends maybe minnesota missed point seem spectrum team weapons
We had our chances in the 5-on-3 to maybe get back in the game, but we missed the net. From that point on, Minnesota got the momentum. They seem like a very confident team with a lot of weapons and they don't get enough credit for how well they play defensively. We're at different ends of the spectrum right now.
five next played rid tough
I'd like to get rid of the first five minutes, but the next 35 I thought we played pretty well. It's tough to play catch-up hockey.
adversity key respond team tough younger
With a younger team there will be tough times and adversity. The key will be how we respond and how we get through those situations.
both close couple deserved hard high played teams tied
It wasn't even close (to being a high stick). We deserved to have tied the game. Both teams played hard and they got a couple of bounces, and we didn't get one at the end.
focusing games hopefully satisfied three thursday
We're focusing on Thursday and to hopefully play three games there. We're not satisfied just to get there.
driven good group level patient players younger
We know we'll have to be patient as the younger players get comfortable with this level of hockey, but this is also a pretty driven group, ... This group can do a lot of good things.
behind believe closer desperate half helped hoping instead maybe players pulled season second situation team together win
Our team has pulled closer together and maybe being in a desperate situation helped us. We've put the second half of the season behind us and our players now believe they can win instead of hoping they can win.
build final games goal playoffs win
Our goal is still to get to the (league) Final Five, so we need to win some games before the playoffs and build some confidence.
