afraid along setbacks start swings unheard
There are a lot of swings I haven't taken, but I get to start over and start fresh. If I have some soreness, and I could have some setbacks along the way, that's not unheard of. But I'm not afraid of that.
throwing trying
He was throwing 96. I was just trying to look for something to hit.
everybody itself repair strength tested
He tested my strength, and everybody has tested the repair itself and the way it was done. Everybody said 'Get out of here, you're good.
amount days eager games goes logical mixed nice reasonable schedule seems
There is a schedule that I'll see some games shortly - a nice amount of off days mixed in there. It seems reasonable and logical on paper. If it goes well, we'll see what else we can do. I'm eager to get to the field.
baseball cage coaches good happened played stuff test timing work
There are some things I need to work on just to get a feel back. I haven't played baseball for a while. I need to get some timing ... get some feel back. That stuff is going to be done in the cage and out here with coaches BP. This is a big test for me. I made contact. A lot of good things happened today.
beat built continue easy good hitting mean nice profile runs shot
He's built pretty well for a hitting streak. He runs well. He can bunt. He can beat out some infield hits, and he switch-hits. That's a nice profile for a streak. It doesn't mean it's easy to do. He's got a good shot to continue it.
ball bunch gets good hard kept life moved picking talk time
He had good life on his ball. I think if you go around and talk to a bunch of hitters, they'll say they have a hard time picking the ball up. The ball gets on you. He's sneaky. He kept the ball down and moved it around and had good life on it.
everybody job york
I don't think you have to be the New York Yankees. But everybody has to have their job and contribute. That's how I see it.
march ok
March 2, if I get an AB that's great, if I don't, that's OK too.
almost good gum threw
I almost threw up because I had a lot of gum in my mouth, but I feel good about my performance.
job
This is my job, and this is what I do,
almost doubt healing longer loss motion range serious strengthen zero
This is a longer process, no doubt. This is a more serious rehab. There it was kind of a healing time, and once I was done healing, then I could just strengthen and come right back. I had no loss of range of motion or anything like that. My range of motion was almost zero after this surgery, so I had to come all the way back.
finish full goes happened last regain rest strength swing
I can take a full swing and once in a while feel a sting, but it goes away. I regain my strength and can finish the at-bat. If that happened last year, I was done for the rest of the game.
baseball doors people
Different people, different backgrounds, different ideals... We walk in different doors at the beginning of the day, and we walk out of different doors at the end of the day. But when it is time to go out on that field, we all go through the same door.
