As much as you would like to say it doesn't get in your head, it probably does. It's a little bit of trying to place the ball instead of throwing through the catcher.

They told the new hire that even though he might have a contract, his career there was over.
best controlled counting felt pitches spring
This is the best I felt this year, by far. I thought I controlled all my pitches the best I have all year, counting spring training.
arm feels last point problem walk
A four-pitch walk with two outs in the first inning. That's the only problem there was. My arm feels better now than it did at any point last year.

He ran, like, 12 poles and he wasn't even fazed. He might have run more than 14. I ran my 14 and got out.

It just shows for me to be successful I have to get ahead on the count. A lot of the struggles I had in this game were from being behind on the count and having to throw the ball down the middle.
definitely low stayed walks
If I can keep my walks down to a minimum, I'll have success. I just stayed low in the zone. That's definitely one of the big things here.
