She is running with expectations of being successful and she should continue to improve. Overall, she is just an overall good runner at any distance and we are lucky to have her.

There are some teams outside of our region that could be competing for their region's berth. We are excited about Beata earning this honor and this is a great way to start off the season, both for her and the team. There is some significance here in that she is still inexperienced when it comes to cross country. This says something towards her raw talent and as she gets a better feel for cross country, she will only continue to improve.

We have a senior dominated group and we are not expecting a lot of surprises. The key to our success this year will be based on how our four through six runners perform. All of the runners have been training on their own this summer and have done a good job keeping us informed of their progress.

I though that this was a very good start to the season and that everything went about how we expected them to unfold. Any time you can finish a race with the top-three finishers, you are almost guaranteed to win the race. This is just the beginning and we know we need to continue to build off of this momentum.
