We did all the right things and I think they were on a mission to prove that we are still a team to be reckoned with. With all four teams at the top it kind of magnifies the three games between the four. It's easier when you've won the first one of the three and don't have to scramble in those last two.

I wasn't really sure what to expect. Last year we went down there and won 1-0 and I think we scored in the last 10 minutes of the game. I just told them we needed to get off to a good start.

I don't know what it is about San Angelo Central. We had a painful loss there last year and they did it to us again. It's a disappointing loss.

There were some tense moments there in the last 10 or 15 minutes when it was 2-0. I was happy with the win today.

I knew if we brought the same attitude (Tuesday) that we had against (Odessa) Permian last week we'd take care of business. We really didn't shift gears, I just think mentally it took us a while to get into the flow of the game and get used to the speed. Things started happening for us after about 15 minutes.

Sometimes its hard to watch back there when the play is away from you but when Lindsey decided to come out she did it 100 percent.
closer drew felt girls glad honest nervous time win
To be honest I felt like we would win today. But as the time drew closer I started getting nervous about it. I'm glad the girls didn't show any of that.

That's the question mark right now. Chemistry is a big factor.

I was glad to see us take advantage of our first chance because Silver had a couple of chances like that on Tuesday. I was glad to see her put that away. But I think after that we had a letdown.

Maybe it was a PK (penalty kick), but I don't think there was any intent and the player has to gain an advantage. That hurt and we let down after that. We started pushing too hard and trying to do too many things.

We moved the ball well, but it was not as clean as I'd like to have seen it. We'll have to be better with our first touch on Saturday.

It was a really well-played game. Obviously the way we lost the game was tough for the girls. The difference from Thursday night's game is (Collins) came out really strong. Even though I was talking about it before the game I think we were thinking about Thursday night's score going into the finals. Hopefully we'll learn from this.

It's a disappointing loss because I thought we could take these guys. It was a frustrating game.
bring intensity lee pleased whenever
Whenever we play Lee you know they are going to bring some intensity with them. I was pleased with our effort.
