There's only so much you can accomplish in practice. We accomplished all that. And we made it through as a team, and still like each other.

Even if you're in an empty gym, it's hard to make the 13 shots he did.

Curtis came in with a Big 12 body. It's tough for people to overpower him. He's very good offensively, but we're really proud of the way he's progressed defensively.

We've looked more forward to every game than any other team.

I was probably more excited for this game even than the Texas Tech game because of the crowd, energy and excitement.

I would rather help my dad out than anyone else. We recruited him for two years. Most people his size are either skilled or athletic. You make money when you have both. He's going to make some money.

Right now in the Big 12, any team can win any game depending on who plays well and shoots well.

I was so pleased we won, because it was the only time I think we were able to win on senior night. At the same time, anytime you can beat a coach Knight team, there's always an added sense of pleasure, because you're competing against and beating the best of all-time. I think you get more satisfaction out of it, because of how successful Knight's been and all the games he's won.
finding gives obviously stepping stone time
Obviously with a young team, the more time the better and we don't have a lot of time. It gives us a stepping stone in finding out what we need to improve.
advantages few hang playing starting team
There are only a few advantages we get by not playing any games. One of them is having the other team not know who we're starting or what we're doing. So, we're going to hang on to that advantage.

assist expect guards hope mature older ratio
When you play as many guards as we do, you hope that you don't have more turnovers than assists. As we get older and more mature as a team, I will expect the turnover to assist ratio to be 2-1.
last rather second worst year
When you go through something like this, the worst end of it is often your second year rather than your first year. Last year we at least had some upperclassmen.
