That's a tough lineup. To get a five-spot early helps and lets you pound the zone a little bit. I got the curveball to Ortiz -- he's just a strong guy. It was a pretty good pitch, I thought, but that happens. I'm glad it was a 5-1 game instead of a 5-4 game.

Everything was working for me today. Right now I'm executing my pitches and throwing the ball where I want and things are falling my way. They've got a pretty tough lineup, but you worry about every lineup.

I have just been happy to make whatever contribution I can to help. With the injuries you just have to pull together until we get everybody back.

We kind of helped them out a little bit, but that's baseball. We made the plays when we had to, ... I wasn't so aggressive when I got ahead in the count. I felt like I was trying to pick a little bit and my curveball wasn't as sharp at times. Those are the things you've got to battle through.
