Sarah Will is a paralympic skier who spent 11 years on the U.S. Disabled Ski Team. During this time, she earned a record 13 medalswhile competing in four Winter Paralympic Games between 1992 and 2002. Will serves as a ski instructor and is otherwise active in the Vail community. She was named to the United States Olympic Hall of Fame in July 2009 and is a nominee for the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame...

Magical realism is a blending of the unusual or supernatural into an otherwise ordinary setting. And, to me, this perfectly describes the South. 'The Sugar Queen' involves a lot of magical happenings, but in a very down-home Southern setting. It's full of things that could almost be true.

I just think demons are terribly interesting! In Sumerian times, demons weren't seen as evil at all, just as incredibly powerful and very different from us: beings made of fire, when humans were made of earth.
