Last year my family was unable to be (at the championship), but tonight the whole family was here, so that makes this win feel even better.

Last year was incredible. I never thought I could do better, and yet I did. I hit big on all of my events and everything went great. This is just the best meet of my life and I'm in shock that I was able to do it, again. I feel lucky.

I didn't even know this was a first. I found out when they announced it. I knew it could be possible to win again, but all I really wanted to do was my best because I figured last year was as good as it could get. Well, I topped that, and then some.

For the most part I hit pretty well tonight. I just had the best meet of my life.

I cleared my first two events in OK shape (a 9.35 on the bars and 9.7 on the beam) and I knew I had my best two events coming up. With my favorite events (the floor exercise and vault) still to come, I knew I had a good chance to repeat.
