The problem that religious moderation poses for all of us is that it does not permit anything very critical to be said about religious literalism.
Meditation ... puts into question more or less everything you tend to do in your search for happiness. But if you lose sight of this, it can become just another strategy for seeking happiness a more refined version of the problem you already have.
The problem is that religion tends to give people bad reasons to be good.
Unfortunately, failure enjoys a natural advantage. Wrong answers to any problem outnumber right ones by a wide margin, and it seems that it will always be easier to break things than to fix them.
