coming couple days games night ready rest talked took
It was just precaution, nothing major. We've got a couple of games coming up at home, so I talked with Mike, and took the night off to heal. I'll get two days rest and I'll be ready to play Friday.
eggs good lay
When we don't come out with energy, we get our butts kicked. If we're going to be a good team, we can't come out and lay eggs like this on the road.
continue teams
We're just the same old Clippers. That's all we are. We're just the same old Clippers. We want teams to continue to take us lightly.
goes monkey season
Our season goes up and down and we are going to find a way to get it back. We don't have a monkey on our back. We have a gorilla.
affect felt seen time
That was my first time ever doing that. I've seen it done a lot of times. It did affect me because everything I did, I felt it.
coaching expects feeling mike playing year
Mike expects so much from us, and I think it's the first year that he really has that feeling it's something special. He has the right to feel that way because he's been around for a long, long time, coaching and playing the game. He understands what it's going to take for us to be successful.
downs intensity lack tend ups
I think as long as we have intensity, then we'll be fine. All ups and downs come from lack of intensity, and as long as we have intensity for 48 minutes, we're fine. When we lack that intensity, we tend to struggle.
communication properly result second zone
I think it was our communication on defense. When we do that, we're at our best. When we don't communicate, we get our butts whipped. It's just that simple. In the first half, we weren't communicating properly and they were having their way with us. In the second half, we went to the zone and communicated better, and the result was a 20-point win.
five harder knew played point seven stops takes win
We made a statement. They just played harder in the first half, but we showed that a win at this point takes more than just playing. We got seven consecutive stops and scored five times and I knew we were going to win.
box game hustle win wins
We didn't come out with the aggressiveness we need to be successful. We need to win the hustle game and we didn't. When you see who wins the hustle game, you don't need to look at the box score.
doubt great heck
It's going to take more than one year. But we've got a heck of a start. No doubt about it, L.A. is a great place, especially when you're winning.
atmosphere backs challenge face far hold point won
It's going to be outrageous, the atmosphere in Denver. All we've done to this point is hold serve. We've won at home. As far as I'm concerned, we still face a big challenge going to Denver. Our backs are to the wall, just like they've been all season.
dictated game lost mirror team three win
Everyone on this team has to take a look in the mirror and be accountable for what they do. They dictated the whole game - probably 45 minutes. Down the stretch, we made some plays. It's a win in our column, we had lost three in a row. We'll take it.
brand culture expect talked
It'll be something brand new to everybody. It's going to be culture shock. I've talked to everybody, talked to them about what I expect from them and what they're going to get from me.
