absolutely almost king notice player privilege smartest until
She's absolutely the smartest player I've had the privilege to coach. You almost don't notice what she does until you look at the stats at the end of the game. She is what has made us the king we have become.
americana bet came closer envious guitar listen living loads love mistake playing rolling shoulders singing songs source standing stay stones until van willing
We all listen to the same music; we all came from the same place, standing on the shoulders of the same giants. I'd be willing to bet that The Rolling Stones are more envious of our lifestyle, living here in Kentucky, playing loads of different Americana music. That's what they were going for. We're closer to the source than they are, really. I think they would love to come down and stay in Covington with us and stay up until 5 in the morning, playing guitar and singing Townes Van Zandt songs and Leadbelly songs. It'd be right up their alley. It's no mistake that we have the same kind of thing going on.
believing efforts exactly expected football games good guys handful including individual kids might opportunity players potential realize seven start team until wins
Until our kids start believing in the potential they have, that's exactly what it will be - just potential, ... We're getting some good individual efforts from a handful of guys but we're not getting it from a lot of others. Everyone, including us coaches, expected big things from this bunch. But if the players don't realize the opportunity they have, we might end up being just another better-than-average Hilliard football team that wins seven games or so.
agree build forward move permission sit talk until
They have a pretty big vision. Even if they put it all together, they can't move forward until we have permission to build something out there. But it makes sense to agree to sit down and talk about it now because it's something that really has potential.
defense four high intensity last level minutes until
Our intensity level went down and that made our defense go down. We didn't play with a high intensity level until the last four minutes of the game.
close faster forced girls kept pace score until whether
I think it really (threw us off). Some of the girls didn't know whether to play on them or play off. It slowed the pace down a lot and that's what kept the score close until we went on our run, and that forced them to play a faster game.
anticipate business expect fourth improvement loss operating post quarter until
We expect to post an operating loss here in the fourth quarter and do not anticipate a significant improvement in this business until 2001.
again apart bands dawn eye family feels hanging keeping strange until
In some ways, it doesn't feel real until you can say, 'Here I have this record,' and play the songs. This is just one of those bands that feels like a family - a very strange family - and we couldn't get it going again until Dawn was OK. Really, we weren't apart during that time. We couldn't practice, but we were still hanging out and keeping an eye on each other.
control gun momentum normally run side surprised tried worked
We tried to keep the momentum on our side and control the tempo. We don't normally play a run and gun style, so I was surprised that when we sped up the game, it actually worked in our favor.
hole inside might tried
We tried to get one inside on him. We thought we might have had a hole there but he made the adjustment.
believe buy count decisions falls instead kids major regular shut six starting team tech
We just want the kids to attack. We'll count up the takedowns at the end of the year. We want them to be aggressive, to not shut down for six minutes. We want them going for major decisions instead of regular decisions, tech falls instead of majors, falls instead of tech falls. We want them getting team points, to buy into the team concept, and they're starting to believe in it.
adding bricks
We just got keep adding bricks to the mansion.
carefully climb crash crew entire feeling hatched helm holding mistake opposite rig side southern spike storm sweep top yacht
We were out there in the Southern Ocean, feeling very insignificant in a big part of the planet, ... At any minute, another storm would sweep in. We hatched a plan: Spike and I would climb up and jury-rig the fitting. As we started the climb, I told the crew that they must helm the yacht very carefully on the opposite tack, as the rigging was only holding up one side of the mast. If the helmsman made a mistake while we were up on the mast, we'd crash down over the side with the entire rig on top of us.
dug half last ourselves played second six wish
We wish we could have started the second half better. We dug ourselves into a hole. But these last five, six weeks, we've played great.
