bringing command embraced guys leadership players role taken veteran watch work
Not to take away anything from those other guys. But bringing in a veteran like Trent was huge. Young players watch his work ethic. From Day One, he has taken command and embraced the leadership role on and off the field. A lot of young guys can see than and take a lot from it.
backs goes guys line position
We have experienced guys at every position on the line and it shows, ... Even when something goes wrong, the backs and quarterback make adjustments. It's something we haven't had here in a long time.
ball bottom care decide defense gets job line means offense passing players plays points run running score sent shut simply
It's not for the players to decide what plays should be called. Our job simply is to run the plays that are sent in. But I will tell you this, as I've said all along, the bottom line with me is that I want to win. I don't care if the offense gets shut out and the defense has to score all the points in the game. I just want to win. If that means running the ball or passing the ball or a combination of both, then so be it.
beast black cloud glad great looks love moved seems work
I love Will. He's got a great work ethic. It just seems like he's had a black cloud over his head. But he has moved on. I'm glad he's here. Look at him. He looks like a beast right now.
beginning forget starting trying until wait week win
I'm trying to forget about the past, the beginning of the season. I'm just starting at each week and I was going to wait until we got that first win to start my new season.
goodbye speech
It wasn't a goodbye speech by any means. It sounded like nothing ever happened.
best gift
This is the best gift I've ever gotten.
biggest challenge front game green home league mean plane sack soon streak team thinking
The streak is fine, but it doesn't mean anything if we don't win, ... We have a big challenge in front of us. They've got (Dwight) Freeney. They've got (Corey) Simon. They're probably the biggest sack team in the league right now. We started thinking about that game as soon as we got on the plane on the way home from Green Bay.
everybody excited finally happening instead motivate plays seemed
Making plays I think was the difference. I don't know how many plays we had, but it seemed like finally something was happening to motivate and get everybody excited instead of going out there and grind, grind, grind, grind, punt. Grind, grind, grind, punt.
There were a lot of things going on offensively in that game,
behave fans food good kids love tastes wife win
It's awesome. It's good for the fans and players. When you win at home, everything is better. Your kids behave better, you love your wife more and even the food tastes better.
good news obvious pain taking
I have obvious pain in the neck, but it's nothing serious. The good news is that it can't get any worse. We're just rehabbing and taking it day-by-day. We'll see how it goes.
losing stinks tired worse
It has made me sick. Losing stinks worse than anything, man. I'm tired of it.
attitude finish technique
But like I said, we've got to find a way to finish drives. I don't know if it's attitude or technique that allows you to get it done, but we've got to do it.
