curves last percent third threw
Last year, I threw curves not even 10 percent of the time. This year, it'll be my third pitch.
good soft throwing
I was throwing a lot of soft stuff. I just embarrassed myself. It wasn't a good feeling.
fastball good keeping means
That was a good sign. It means I'm keeping my fastball down. That's what I wanted to concentrate on doing.
remember
You know, I really don't remember what he said.
fun pitch runs scoring watch
It?s fun to watch and fun to pitch when (the offense) is scoring runs like that.
blame game guys knew possible team tough trying
It's tough with the sun. You can't blame that on anybody. I knew I just had to keep making pitches, keep trying to get outs, and just keep the team in the game as much as possible and let the guys come back, just like they did.
bigger game glad stayed
I'm glad I stayed and watched. This was big, even bigger than the game in Florida.
confidence either good hate hitters looks means pitch swinging throwing
I'm getting more confidence in my off-speed pitch with every outing. Hitters are swinging at it, and that's a good sign. I want them to swing because that means it looks like a strike. I hate when they aren't swinging at it. The means it either doesn't look like a good pitch, or I'm not throwing it for strikes.
car good steer trying
It's not a good feeling, at all. It's like trying to steer a car one way and it won't go.
giving runs takes tough
This one's particularly tough just because giving up that many runs that early, it takes away from my hitters.
anybody blame tough
It was a tough sun. You couldn't blame anybody for that.
blame tough
It was a tough sun; you can't blame that on anybody.
release
After a while, it's too much to handle. You've got to release some stuff. Or you just take it. That's what makes you stronger. I'm just going to go out there and be myself and give everything I've got.
happening slow step stuff
Stuff started happening pretty quickly. I didn't step up and slow things down. I just embarrassed myself out there. I wasn't thinking.
