difference four people surrounded
It's the difference between being surrounded by four people you don't know, and four of your buddies. You're more relaxed. You're more comfortable. And they know each other's swings.
help takes whatever work
I've still got a little work to do, ... but I'll do whatever it takes to help the team.
anybody great obviously pick range
They haven't had anybody with the range I have there in a long time. Obviously Wally was a great first baseman. He could pick it. But he did not have the range I did.
care dead glad good helping personal swing team
It's all about helping this team and getting to the postseason and doing well in the postseason, ... I'm just glad we're in first place. Personal numbers, I don't care about them. I've had some good years and we've been in dead last. That's not good. I've just got to try to get my swing back.
ahead best good instead
It's probably best to go ahead and do it instead of having a roller-coaster all year. The MRI did not show very good news.
bunch great
This is for all the fans. This is a great bunch of guys.
early figure healthy months ride soul three trying
This early in the season, you don't want to panic. I'm doing some soul searching, trying to figure out what I'm going to do. Do I want to play healthy for three months or ride this out?
anyone bone worse
The MRI showed it was worse than anyone thought ---- completely bone on bone.
change swing
I don't want to change my swing too much. I just need to get back on track. It doesn't have to take long. Look at Khalil. He's down, then bang, he's back.
kid
The kid over there is doing pretty good.
good hit
All I need is to feel right, have some good at-bats going into the playoffs. That's what it's all about. I've had some years where I hit .300 with 30 homers, but we didn't win. I want to be in those big games, when it counts.
finish ready second
All I can do now is get myself ready, try to finish this thing off and get ready for the postseason and not look at what I'm doing the second half,
