I thought he was turning up and I caught him halfway through the turn. If I had waited half a second, he's probably completely turned up ice, and then I'd just get him from the side. But it's a game of reaction. It's something I've got to make sure I'm prepared for. I take full responsibility. I feel I let the team down.

You never want to be suspended and you never want anybody to get hurt. But it's part of the game. I definitely don't want to be suspended. He came back out to play so I feel he's all right. The main thing is he's all right and I'm happy for that.

In my mind, both hits were clean. They know how I play. I play a physical style. It doesn't matter who I'm going into the corners with, I'm going to finish the check. Nobody was hurt on the play.
