ball good last location mixing past pitching throw tried wants year
Last year he tried to throw the ball past hitters, where this year he's pitching past hitters. He's mixing up his pitches, has good location and he has a good idea before each pitch of what he wants to do.
running dream years
You dream about the Olympics for so long and you have that one day, then it's over, and when you don't run well there is this huge letdown. It took me years to deal with that. I feel like I almost had to cleanse myself of that experience.
years track world
For most of the track world, the Olympic year is such a huge year, and it's a big year for us marathoners too.
disappointment years beijing
It took years, honestly, to deal with the disappointment of Beijing.
guts
If they've got the guts to do it, you can't really say anything about it.
chance guys means quality remember single starters time win
Having two quality starters means everything. We have two guys who we feel like give us a chance to win every time out. I can't remember a single time when they didn't give us a quality start.
ball base biggest concerned drives gets good happy hit position puts ready run swinging
He just gets on base and he's a good hitter. He drives the ball and gets doubles. That puts us in better position so we don't have to do as much, hit and run or bunt. The biggest thing I was concerned with is they were ready to go today. I was happy to see us swinging it again. We had 10 hits.
chance coming fight giving good job shutting
He did a good job of coming in and shutting us down and giving them a chance to fight back.
good pitching swinging
We've got some good pitching and we're going to play good defense. If can just keep swinging it the way we have been we're going to be pretty good.
diversity expect fail
We have more diversity. You can't expect (English-learners) to do as well as others. Like if I went to Mexico, I would fail all their tests.
You kind of just have to go with the flow.
ability band best depends individual judging members order reward sum
We are judging individual members, because a band is the sum of its parts. The band depends on the ability of its members in order to make it, so why not reward the best of the best?
clutch crucial game record scoring three today took win wind
It was very, very crucial for us to win this game today because (our record would be) 2-4 and then we'd have to win three of four. Webber had a clutch hit. I think that kind of took the wind out of their sails. That was huge. Scoring with two outs, that's just a bonus.
equal good guys ok seems whether
He's seems to play pretty good and equal whether we put him in the infield or outfield. He's just one of those guys who does OK at any position.
