competing job second time
We keep competing all the time and I thought we did a much better job of that in the second half.
anybody basketball college country defense impressive leads remember scoring shoot since somebody time year
I can't remember anybody in my time in college basketball averaging 27 or 28 a game. It's been a long time since I was in school. Every year there's somebody that leads the country in scoring averaging 27 or 28 a game, but his team's usually not very good. J.J. being able to do that and shoot the ball as effectively as he has with the other team's defense aimed at him is about as impressive as it can be.
cut dickens forty hard imagine meeting minutes practice seven sneeze time worked
I can't imagine what in the dickens went on in a meeting where you'd cut practice times to 40 minutes. Now they're making you practice twice. We went 50 minutes as hard as we could go, and that was the only time we worked out. Now, we've got to go somewhere. Forty minutes? I can sneeze seven times in 40 minutes.
defend easier four guy guys head run screaming standing time
I'm over there screaming my head off one time ... 'Move, move, move. It's easier to defend a guy when the other four guys are standing there stationary ... they can run in there and make it difficult.
determine execution few generally happened job players run time
That's happened to me a few times during my career. Generally speaking, most of the time it's the players who determine everything, anyway. We can run the same plays, but if their players do a better job of execution than mine do, they're going to win. If mine do a better job, then we're going to win.
couple games playing remember time win
I can remember a time when you were a No. 1, No. 2 or No. 3 (seed), the first couple of games you could win without playing well. I don't think you can do that anymore.
again answered game impressed second team time
It was a big time game for us to say the least. In the second half, I was more impressed with my team than any time I have been this year. We answered them again and again and again.
coin flipped gym high mean past school
We flipped a coin in the end zone, I mean past the baseline, in a high school gym in Vegas.
ball bottom hold hope line mouth pray
You can hope and pray and hold your mouth different ways, but the bottom line is, you have to put the ball in the basket.
bench came continue flat fortunate foul free guards throws trouble
We are very fortunate to continue playing. (Virginia) made 24-of-29 free throws and those two guys, Singletary and Reynolds, made 24-of-26. We came out a little flat and our guards got in foul trouble early, so we had to use our bench extensively.
attention chairs coach five full likes onto pull
Every coach likes to have his team's full attention during timeouts. We get out there and the chairs are chained together, so you can't pull five chairs out onto the court.
believe difficult league nine seven teams top
Top to bottom, this is the most difficult I've ever been in. I believe we've got some seven to nine teams in this league that are in the top 64 in this country.

games team
We feel very fortunate, to say the least. First-round games are always difficult. If your team hasn't been through it, they have no idea how big it is.
