attention chairs coach five full likes onto pull
Every coach likes to have his team's full attention during timeouts. We get out there and the chairs are chained together, so you can't pull five chairs out onto the court.
coach concentration effort gone gotten season team wants
I think this team has done something that every coach wants to do, and that is gotten better as the season has gone along. They've put the effort and the concentration in to make that happen.
coach focused fourteen fun neat practice team win
Fourteen years ago I thought it was neat to win this award, and now I'm so much more appreciative of it. From the first day of practice this team was fun to coach yet they were focused on what they had to do.
believe call coach gone lost percent seat sort
No one had ever gone through it. We lost 91 percent of our scoring, and I believe 89 percent of our rebounding. I didn't have any coach I could call and ask, 'What did you do?' We've sort of been going by the seat of our pants.
coach foul gets guard left pleasant point seconds third
It's not the most pleasant thing for a coach when your point guard gets his third foul with .1 seconds left in the first half.
bad call coach hate hurt
It was a bad call on my part. It's something as a coach that you hate to do to hurt your team.
coached difficult handle listening perhaps teammates
What I think now is that it allows them to get coached by listening to their teammates handle what perhaps could be difficult questions.
coach course decided goals hurt sit
That one hurt for a long time, ... It made me, over the course of that summer, sit back, try to investigate myself, try to see if there was something I was doing wrong, see if my goals were right. At that time, I decided my new No. 1 goal was going to be live long enough to coach my grandchildren.
coaches country good hopeful lost regardless step thinking
Just thinking about those things is mind-boggling to me, so I'm hopeful that we as coaches and we as a country will step up and do so many good things for those people. But regardless of what you do, it's never going to be enough. They've lost things that can't be replaced.
coach head hey school
Hey guys, the head coach of the school is right over here.
coach fortunate group hopes wonderful
I never try to have expectations, I always have hopes. My hopes are always high. I feel very fortunate to coach a wonderful group of kids.
games team
We feel very fortunate, to say the least. First-round games are always difficult. If your team hasn't been through it, they have no idea how big it is.
We feel very fortunate, to say the least.
chance far including kansas last lucky seen struggled
I've seen a lot of teams, including Kansas last year, go far after they struggled in their first games. You have to get by and get lucky sometimes. We have to play better Saturday. We have no hope, no chance if we don't play better Saturday.
