eventually hole knowing matter patient played seventh slow staying
I got off to a slow start, but I played solidly. I had some opportunities that I did not convert. However, from the seventh hole on, I got things going a little bit. It was just a matter of staying patient out there, knowing the putts would eventually drop.
catch chance four knew looked scoreboard
When I looked at the scoreboard and he was 2-under through four holes, I knew the only person who had a chance to catch him was Chad, maybe.
ball hitting irons might switch
I think I might switch my irons out and go back to my old set. I don't feel like I'm hitting the ball well.
bit crest saw surprise
I thought, 'Oh, man, this is going to be perfect, it's going to get over the crest of the hill, and it's going to trickle over the other side. When I saw it go down, it was a bit of a surprise and a bit of a disappointment.
definitely golf hardest played rounds seemed wrong
That was definitely one of the hardest rounds of golf I've played in my life. It seemed like everything was going the wrong way.
absolutely hit remember rookie
I remember when I was a rookie and would just let it go. There's absolutely no possibility I could ever have hit it that far. Just unbelievable.
blew fire hear stories
You always hear the stories ... 'Ah, he blew it.' I didn't want to give them anything more to fire at me. I didn't want to give them any more ammunition.
game mental nice ready success
It would be nice to get back. I haven't had as much success there as I would like, but I think my mental game is ready for it now. I'm a lot more mature.
adds creates director golf pressure shot top tournament
I don't think it adds any more pressure on the tournament director or creates any resentment. Hey, I've had tournaments where I've shot 89 in the first rounds, and I was top 80 in the world rankings. That's just part of competitive golf and she'll get over it.
call chip monkey shed shoulder
I don't know if you can call it a chip on my shoulder or a monkey on my back, but I shed it today.
felt left shots
I haven't had too many four-shot leads. I felt like I left a lot of shots out there.
bay couple hill played shot top tournament
I played Bay Hill a couple of years ago, I shot 89 the first round, and I was in the top 80 in the world ranking. Is that embarrassing for the tournament director? I don't think so. Things like that happen. That's just part of competitive golf, and she'll get over it.
almost home intention rather
I had no intention of being here. It's almost tough. I'm a little sad. I would rather be at home with my little girl.
change
I'm comfortable with the lead. It doesn't change anything for me. I'll go out there (today) and do what I've been doing.
