She lost her kidneys her first day in the hospital. She never really got them back. She wasn't in a situation where she could have received a donation.
rough time
Basically, she had a pretty rough time of it. She was always in and out of the hospital.

We call it a party for a purpose. It's not a sit-down dinner. To me, it's a neighborhood block party and a night on the town combination.
