addition bowls chance couple great maybe pitching sure talk
He'd be a great addition to our pitching staff, and if I get a chance to talk to him, I'm sure I'll talk to him, ... Maybe I'll give him a couple bowls of gumbo.
door enjoyment fun good hope routines talk talking
I hope I can get in the door with that. He's been fun to talk to. I get an enjoyment out of talking to him, just getting to know his routines and what I'm going to need to do to make him as good as he can be.
door fun hope last pitching talked three
I hope I can get in the door with that, being left-handed and pitching here, being pretty successful. I've talked to him two or three times the last two or three days. He's been fun to talk to.
background good ideas lean people spoken sure talk
I'm probably going to have to lean on a lot of people, ... I've spoken to Joe, and he has a real good background with pitching. I'm going to look to him for a lot of help. ... I have some ideas, but I'll talk to a lot of people to make sure my ideas are sound.
concerned family far shot spoke thinking
I spoke to my family about it, and they said 'Maybe you should give it a shot before you get too old,' ... I'd been thinking about it, and if you're going to do something, as far as I was concerned you should do it while you're still kind of young.
best five guys people pitchers randy
People say he struggled. But I'll take five guys like him who struggle. Randy is still one of the best pitchers in baseball.
coming inside
Coming inside is a big part of his repertoire. He just couldn't get it in there.
almost average bad good seen starts watch
You almost don't need to watch the video. He's pitched good before, so it's not like we haven't seen it this year. He's made (four) starts and one of them hasn't been good; one out of (four) isn't a bad average and it'll be better than that by the end.
baseball master needs pitch thrown
That's the one pitch he needs to master better than he's thrown it here.
amount capacity career coach great honor pitch pitching york
Having to pitch your whole career in New York and be successful, that has to amount to something, ... I can't go back and play, but to go back in a capacity as a pitching coach and become part of the organization again, it's a great honor and a great challenge. I think it's going to be fun.
I don't know. But I think you're right where you should be.
ball breaking good guys high low start strike throwing throws wild zone
Well, he's got good stuff. He throws the ball hard. He has a good slider, has a good breaking ball and the ball moves. Right now he's pretty well in a low strike zone on his pitches. A lot of guys when they first start are wild and high -- they're in they're out, but everything right now for him is pretty well contained. He's throwing the ball well.
great reach
You have great stuff. It's not like you can't reach here.
capacity chances chose coach envisioned free great honor leave pitching secret several
It was no secret when I had several chances to leave as a free agent, I never chose to go anywhere, ... I never envisioned there was any place better to play than in New York. I can't go back and play, but to go back in a capacity as a pitching coach and become part of the organization again, it's a great honor and a great challenge. I think it's going to be fun.
