ball came couple days driving found high looked mechanics might seems supposed swinging third
Looked like he was swinging and not driving the ball to the plate. Everything was high the first couple innings, but when he found out what it was, the third inning was more like him. The ball was down all the time. Some days you get those days where it seems like the mechanics might be off just a little, but he came back and did what he was supposed to do.
great reach
You have great stuff. It's not like you can't reach here.
ball breaking good guys high low start strike throwing throws wild zone
Well, he's got good stuff. He throws the ball hard. He has a good slider, has a good breaking ball and the ball moves. Right now he's pretty well in a low strike zone on his pitches. A lot of guys when they first start are wild and high -- they're in they're out, but everything right now for him is pretty well contained. He's throwing the ball well.
I don't know. But I think you're right where you should be.
baseball master needs pitch thrown
That's the one pitch he needs to master better than he's thrown it here.
amount capacity career coach great honor pitch pitching york
Having to pitch your whole career in New York and be successful, that has to amount to something, ... I can't go back and play, but to go back in a capacity as a pitching coach and become part of the organization again, it's a great honor and a great challenge. I think it's going to be fun.
anybody calm either language people says
He usually says either 'yes' or 'no' and people think that's because of the language barrier. I think that's all he has to say. He's as calm as anybody I've ever met.
addition bowls couple great pitching staff
He'd be a great addition to the pitching staff here, ... a couple of bowls of gumbo.
addition bowls chance couple great maybe pitching sure talk
He'd be a great addition to our pitching staff, and if I get a chance to talk to him, I'm sure I'll talk to him, ... Maybe I'll give him a couple bowls of gumbo.
earned impressed knew pitch regular respect
He impressed me so much. I've got a lot of respect for him, and he earned a lot from me. He knew he had to go down and pitch on a regular basis.
almost average bad good seen starts watch
You almost don't need to watch the video. He's pitched good before, so it's not like we haven't seen it this year. He's made (four) starts and one of them hasn't been good; one out of (four) isn't a bad average and it'll be better than that by the end.
ball since threw throwing
He threw the ball pretty well. He said he's been throwing since Thanksgiving.
guys hard help overload
I know it's a hard job, but I have a lot of help. The guys that are in here, they're all going to help me. They're not going to overload me and let me sink.
guys hard help overload pitching rides sink
I know it's a hard job, and a lot rides on that job, but I've got a lot of help around here. There's so much pitching talent, like Mel and Kerrigan, the guys that are in here. They're all going to help you. They're not going to overload you and let you sink by yourself.
