Everybody in that locker room wearing a Cincinnati jersey wants to win. There's not a lot of teams still playing now, not a lot of teams still practicing. It's not ideally where we want to be, but if we play our game the way we should, we can win the NIT.

Our kids battled back. I give credit where credit's due, but you won't win many games by giving up seven runs in the first two innings, and leaving 13 runners on base.
anywhere belt close gets move win
Are we anywhere close to where we've got to be? No. We've still got a long way to go. But getting a win under our belt gets that off our back and now we can move on.

We've been hitting the ball really well the last five or six games. We hit some balls hard, but right at people too. But today most of them found holes.

I think it was stage fright. I just didn't see that confident look these guys normally have. And we've played tough ball clubs all year. That really took me by surprise.
