anybody beat five games good playing round second sound teams
I thought Kitchener was right there with us this year, so for Owen Sound to beat them out in five games like that, they're going into the second round with a lot of momentum. Teams like that are dangerous. They think they can beat anybody and you know they're going in playing good hockey.
bit hate
We hate them every bit as much as they hate us.
full tie until wait
Here and there we have had lapses. We have a tie and two wins. We can't wait until we play a full 60 minutes.
behind blame care cheering win
I don't blame them. When it's in the States, I don't think very many Americans are cheering for Canadians. It's not strange. We don't care about who is behind us and who is not. We are here to win a tournament.
great huge job
This was huge because Kitchener's right on our heels. We've got to keep winning, and we're doing a great job right now.
forward gets power time
I want to be more of a leader. I don't want to be the 13th forward who just gets time on the power play. I want to be a go-to guy.
came games junior last maybe proved three
That got us boiling. Maybe he should be in junior B, I don't know. But we came out the last three games and proved to him what we're all about.
bobby few good guy hit hits job maybe neutral ryan shutting slow tough trying zone
What we need to do is hit Bobby Ryan a little more. He's a tough guy and he's trying to get through the neutral zone a little too easily. Maybe we need a good open-ice hit or a few more hits to slow him down. We do that, maybe we do a better job of shutting him down.
against good hockey junior playing slash test
We've become pretty good friends through playing with the Americans (at the world junior hockey championship). We'll chirp each other now and then and we'll give each other a slash when we have to, but it'll be good to go up against him. It's a good test for our team.
deeper harder pressure series skill sounds takes turn work
The deeper you get in the playoffs, the harder it is to score. It's all about hard work in the playoffs, then skill takes over. Hard work sounds like a cliche. But you have to turn it up a notch, then get creative. I like the pressure situations. And this series is a pressure series. We get through this one, we're going to be good.
area behind bench box giving glass half hear penalty saying scoring
They (the fans) were pretty annoying. Only half of the area behind our bench is glass -- it's like Kitchener in the penalty box -- so you can hear everything they're saying and they were really giving it to me. All I can do is go out there and keep scoring goals.
empty hitting missing net playoff sooner
They've been getting the bounces. Part of playoff hockey, part of the series, there'll be times when you go through droughts. Myself, there's been times when I have an empty net and I've been hitting the goalie in the (butt) or missing the net. Those bounces are going to come to us sooner or later.
good skill skilled team
There's a lot of skill on this team, a lot of grit, a lot of everything. We've got big, fast, skilled forwards, so it's a pretty good team and well put together.
anybody continue felt hear nobody pressure records winning
There was the pressure of winning our way in because nobody wanted to hear anybody say we were lucky. We set all those records and we felt we had to continue winning and get in the right way.
