One thing that's been nice is that somebody different usually steps up every night. I didn't really change a whole lot so the transition was pretty easy for the girls.

I can't say enough about how proud I am of this team winning 19 games and the region title. A lot of people didn't expect us to be here.

This was just a typical Layton vs. Fremont dogfight. I wouldn't expect anything less. I really respect their program and their kids; they've always been really competitive with us. Teams have always given us their best effort because of the success that (former) coach (Van) Price has had in the past and they're continuing to do it this year. You can't overlook any team in this region. There aren't any nights off.

When she's on her game, I don't think there's anybody that can stop her. She came out just on fire and I need that from her all the time.

Davis did a great job. They've got great size and have great quickness in their guards. (Darts' coach) Amy (Wright) has done a great job over there. We're going to have to see them again and I'm not looking forward to that at all.

It was a great year. It was a lot of fun. I had a great group of kids, and that made it really enjoyable.

I was worried that we would come out with some nerves, which we did, and we're lucky we got over it. It took us three quarters to settle down and run the offense. We forced some shots that we shouldn't have, and we made some bad entry passes. I'm OK with the turnovers in transition because I want us pushing the ball.
