The teams ahead of them in the poll were not there, so they know they have their work cut out of them. They have two months of hard work ahead of them. They can't relax, and they aren't going to be content with their performance (Thursday).

The team has never been ranked before. The coaches and athletes are thrilled. It's a testament to the kids who have put in the miles.
afar impressive soccer true
Connor is a true competitor. I've been able to see him from afar in soccer and basketball. But it was pretty impressive to see it up close.

I was really pleased with that considering we raced all 5A teams.

We haven't done any speed work yet, so the next couple weeks, we'll transition into speed work. The hope is that with the strong foundation their peak will be even higher. We want to keep the kids healthy.

We've come to the Front Range three or four times to see what our competition is in the state.
experience opportunity people pleased
We were really pleased with the experience, especially considering we didn't have a lot of our big guns. We had a lot of people who got the opportunity to compete.
