A time gap of 50 seconds for your one through seven runners is unheard of. It's a tribute to how well they work as a team. Although it's an individual sport, they really buy into the team aspect.

Normally we wouldn't race two times in three days, but we wanted to cover our bases and preview the course.

He was the hero of the day. We were battling Montrose for second or third place, and Jake passed two Montrose kids in the last 50 meters to make a huge swing in the points totals. Last year he was our 7th runner or top JV running, so he's really stepped up and filled the gap.

Heidi was a queen today. She did a great job running all those relays.

Their times were fabulous. The only team the guys didn't beat was Grand Junction, which is a 5A school.
experience girls good great people races racing running
All of the girls got great racing experience running with a lot of good kids. (In) a lot of races in the mountains, the girls get into running by themselves, but in this race, they had people all around them.
