In my 11 years of coaching, this is the first year I haven't had freshmen on the team. We have a seasoned team that's going to help us out a lot. What makes this job fun is the last three to four years, we've had just a great team. They're positive people for outstanding senior leadership.

Our defense played really well. We have everyone back on defense except one player. Our experience back there really helps us.

That just makes both of our programs better.

It's always nice to get a win over your in-town rival. To score three goals against the No. 6 team in the state makes it that much better.

We took advantage of the long ball when we had a strong wind to our backs in the first half. The second half was all about keeping possession for us.
years rocks conservative
I'm an avowed modernist. I'm for the new thing. I came to the conclusion many years ago that rock music is essentially a conservative form.
years trying way
The way I have progressed as a writer over the years is to try and stay true to the principles I absorbed.
thinking dancing architecture
I've never had a problem with the old truism about dancing to architecture. I think you can dance to architecture. There's some pretty funky architecture to dance to.
art writing thinking
I think all writing about art is in some way dancing to architecture. It's all about similitude, being analogous, metaphorical, adjectival, etc.
real ideas interesting
The life of the mind is always more interesting than the real. The idea is often more interesting than the actual.
writing order opposites
I didn't start writing in order to express myself. If anything the opposite was true. I was just as interested in negating the I and the ego.
