The one who made firm the quaking earth; the one who made fast the shaken mountains; the one who measured out wide the atmosphere; the one who propped up heaven, he, O people, is Indra.

The one whom the two lines of battle, coming together, call upon separately, the nearer and the farther, both foes; even the two who have mounted the same chariot call upon him individually, he, O people, is Indra.

From it the horses were born and all that have cutting teeth in both jaws. The cows were born from it, also. From it were born goats and sheep.

If a person becomes a fatalist and does not perform actions he shall literally acquire nothing.

If a householder moulds himself according to the circumstances just like nature moulds Herself according to seasons and performs his Karma then only shall he acquire happiness. One who does this successfully gains in all walks of life.
destroy indulge people stupid wickedness
People who are stupid always indulge in destructive activities. Because of their wickedness they destroy all that is of use to the people.
loved people soft spoken truthful
People who are soft spoken and truthful are loved by all.
acquire adhere ego gets people proud result
People who are proud do not adhere or acquire anything and as a result of which the ego gets destroyed.
enlightens help vast
Only 'knowledge' can help us to know the universe, which is vast like an ocean. It enlightens everyone's minds.
deeds expect good
Only by indulging in good deeds can one expect good results.
benefit detach god good lives scholars service shall themselves yearn
Only by doing good can one benefit. Those who detach themselves from 'bad' and yearn for 'good',dedicate their lives to god and to the service of scholars shall be blessed.
becomes dwells eliminate free ignorance knowledge man mind
Only by attaining knowledge can one become free from ignorance and eliminate his sins. Such a man dwells independently as his mind becomes free from fear.
laws preferred
Only that person is preferred as a leader, who adheres by laws and rules.
