against attitude champion chance defending knew last stand thrilled win
We're going down with a much better attitude than last year. Last year, we were thrilled just to win our first match. But we knew Carmel was the defending champion and they were too good. We didn't stand a chance against them.
against best came doubles gate played singles slow super took west wind
Everyone played super this morning, came out of the gate and really took the wind out of West Lafayette's sails. Against Cathedral, we came out a little slow in the singles matches, and Cathedral's 2 doubles was the best 2 doubles we've seen.
advantage against doubles line singles strong three west
We line up pretty well against West Lafayette. They have a strong No. 1 doubles team, but their No. 2 doubles is weak, so if we can get one of those and at least two of three singles, we should win. They have the advantage at No. 3 singles though.
against both broke center consistency doubles pressure work
We need to work at consistency under pressure at all spots, especially at doubles. That's where we broke down against Center Grove. We were under more pressure with both the doubles matches.
awesome bad chris elated felt played
We were elated to see him get that. Chris felt bad about his (final) match, felt he could've played a little better, but that was an awesome honor.
guys hearts played seven shot
It's something we did have a shot at this year. But you can't be disappointed when all seven guys played their hearts out, which they did.
bit five four guys matched played
We matched up really well, and they were just a little bit better at four of the five spots. But all the guys played well. There wasn't anything else they could have done.
good guys matches played pressure singles three tough
Our two and three singles matches had some pressure today, and they played really well. Their guys put up a good fight. Those were some tough matches.
against best center gave grove harder indy motivated needed playing season taught tough
Playing Center Grove during the season really taught (the players) a lot of different things. It gave them an idea of how to play their best against a tough Indy team, and it motivated them to play harder to get to where they needed to be.
