adjustment anytime change phases schemes system three took tough
It was a tough year, ... Anytime you change schemes in all three phases there is an adjustment period. Here, it was the same system for 20 years, so it took a little while.
challenge class conference dictates favor four games playing quite short television three time
I think it's quite a challenge for our team, with four weeknight games and three of those on short weeks. I'm not in favor of playing three weeknight conference games on the road, because of the class time we miss, but television dictates most of our schedule.
against both coming emotional excited fans games good last obviously passion programs remember three
It has obviously been a really good rivalry, ... I can remember as a player, it was always a tough, defensive, low-scoring kind of ballgame, coming down to the last possession. The last three years, we've had some really good games against them. It's very emotional on both sides. I think there's a lot of passion both fans have. Both programs have been excited to play each other.
goal group opportunity test three
We never had an opportunity to get another group in there, or test our conditioning. We never got gassed, because they were three and out so many times. We wanted to play more people. That's a goal of ours.
focused game guys hope loud ready sold sure
I'm sure the game will be sold out. It will be very loud in Byrd Stadium. So I hope we can get our guys focused and ready to play.
maryland played syracuse talented team
Syracuse was tough, but Maryland is the most talented team we've played so far.
ball control guys spark
Not only were we down, it wasn't even a ball game. They were in control. I told our guys all we need is a spark or two.
hope signs
Not only were we down, but we didn't really have any signs of hope in those other 3 quarters. It was kind of improbable.
happy
I had not been real happy with our perimeter blocking, and we've got to get better at that this week.
against georgia good guys help last louisville season versus year
I want our guys to feel good about last year. But any play made last year against Georgia or Louisville won't help us get a first down versus Marshall. The 2006 season is upon us, and we're 0-0.
everybody four games heard louisville
That's all they heard after the Louisville game. But there's so many things that happen. You've still got four games left. Everybody is going to come gunning for you.
couple games last ok win
The last couple of games there's been a lot of long drives. The games are going a lot faster, which is OK as long as you win it.
against articles beat believe camp confidence confident duke forest helped obviously reading staff summer wake
They believe in what they're doing. You can tell by reading articles over the summer and during camp that they're very confident in the new staff and the new schemes. And it obviously helped their confidence when they beat Duke and then battled back against Wake Forest on the road.
across bed bottom bowl either enjoy espn game goes home name nobody plane sent tv wants
They'll either be in bed or they'll be back on the plane to Pittsburgh. Nobody wants to be sent home from a bowl game because, one, you want to enjoy a big game and, two, your name is going to be on the bottom of that ESPN ticker thing that goes non-stop across the bottom of the TV screen.
