anxious areas bowl everybody games guys last love played run team
Hey, we have a lot of guys back. And we can't run guys out of here. They love going to bowl games and getting those gifts. But I am approaching it the same. I am anxious to see how much better our guys can get. Everybody that we played (in the Big East) had a young team last year. We played pretty well, but there are always areas to improve.
couple hard mistakes player runs
He still made a couple of mistakes, but not as many as a first-year player usually makes. He has the right temperament for that position. He runs hard and he has a burst.
football georgia good home people playing
I don't know how those people come up with that and I don't want to know. Georgia should be the favorites. They are a very good football team. We are playing them in their home state.
Got a little banged up in the game.
dollar reaction turn
If I had a dollar for everyone who said, 'Are you ready?', I could get a lot of things done in our program. I think I'm going to turn to one of them and say, 'No, we're not,' and then see what their reaction is.
committed continued heard liked results saw seeing time worked
He (Slaton) has worked very hard. We liked him the very first time we saw him. Even after he committed to come here and heard about the other recruits, he continued to work and you are seeing the results on the field.
cut explosive running today
He's an explosive player. We've really been on him about making one cut and then running. He did that today and he really made it work.
bit certainly players
I do think sometimes the players were pressing. When we won, it wasn't by enough. We certainly didn't want them to feel it inside. But it was a little bit more difficult.
game hope rather
I'd rather play a non-conference game first, especially with a young team, ... But it is what it is. ... I just hope we go up there and not panic.
bunch convention guys helping ideas sitting trading unlike
I don't see it unlike a bunch of guys being at a ... convention sitting around trading ideas, helping each other's company.
game happened players pressure
I don't want to put too much pressure on one game because it is just one of 11. Our expectations are high, and our fans' expectations are high, but I don't want our players to feel any undue pressure and go into a game pressing themselves. I think that's happened in the past.
enthusiasm
I don't want to dampen anyone's enthusiasm, ... but we should be the underdog.
defense execute factor good hope mind motivating plays rest win
I don't mind them being proud. The motivating factor is to play well and execute and win the game. I hope our defense plays as well as it has the rest of the year. If they do, we will be a good team.
college hurt
In 20-some years of college coaching, I have never had two quarterbacks hurt in one game. I don't want to jinx us.
