allow angry extremely game guys played stretch win
I'm disappointed, but not angry because I thought our guys played extremely hard. We had our chances, we just did not do the things down the stretch of the game that would allow us to win the game.
game hawaii kept percent start
I kept him out of the game in Hawaii so he would be 100 percent for the start of the tournament.
couple game good red run solid stuff talent until
Obviously, (the Red Raiders) are very well coached. They run their stuff until they get a good look. From a talent standpoint, they're very average. They have a couple of real solid players, but they just run their stuff. This game is very simple, but we make it hard.
fast game matter slow team tempo wants
They're a team that wants to slow the game down. And we want the game to be as fast as possible. So it's really going to be a matter of who can get the tempo going their way.
fast game matter slow team tempo tries
They're a team that tries to slow the game down, and we're a team that tries to play as fast as possible. It's going to be a matter of who can get the tempo to go their way.
beat boards game hawaii key
It's about rebounding. At Hawaii they beat us on the boards and I thought that was the key to this game tonight.
build chemistry game guys help needed played summer time trip
We have guys that haven't played a game in a year, so the trip this summer will help us in a lot of ways. We'll be able to build chemistry and get some guys some much needed time on the court.
affect coach cost errors game nevada state team utah
With all that happening, what cost us the game were the errors we made down the stretch. Having to play Nevada and Utah State all over again, I have to coach morale. It can affect your team psychologically.
call extremely forward game good great looking opportunity quality schedule win
This is a great opportunity for us to potentially get what I would call an extremely quality win on the road. And a home-and-home is really great because, if we were to pick, this is a game we would try to schedule anyway. I think it's a good one, and we're looking forward to it.
against best effect guys lasting league lose losing majority morale teams weekends
I'm not really about having to go back and play them back to back like that. From a psychological standpoint, when you have to play the two best teams in the league two weekends in a row, it can be devastating to your morale and your whole psyche. Losing against these guys is not the issue, it's the psychological effect it could have. It could have a lasting effect if you lose the majority of these games.
against emotion energy happen last level nevada road saying state utah win
I'm disappointed in our energy level but I preface it by saying I thought it could happen because of the emotion we had on the road against Nevada and the big win at Utah State last week.
close dominated effort extremely growing growth guys overtime performance played san state
It was a gutsy performance by my guys tonight. San Jose State played extremely well in the first half. They dominated us on the boards. We've been close so many times, and we've been growing every week, with much of the growth in the effort department. In overtime games, we've had three, and this was our first win.
definitely glass great half season
It's disappointing for my guys. But the great thing about it is that before this season started, who would have thought that we'd be disappointed by not making the N.I.T.? So the glass is definitely half full.
couple ended heck obviously
It was a heck of a ballgame. I obviously don't like the way it ended up. I thought it was lopsided in a couple of ways.
