You'd see a lot of teams roll over in that situation. We continued to take it one at-bat at a time and it nearly added up.

attacking faster helps ocean waves
I think the thing that helps is the ocean swells. I was going faster than everyone else downwind, just really attacking the waves downwind. I'm not used to waves like that.
basically hurdle problem throwing
Throwing now is basically the only hurdle we have to get over now, which really isn't much of a problem at all.
finish good kept ourselves position putting solid win year
We've been pretty solid defensively all year and I think that's what has kept us in a lot of ballgames. We're putting ourselves in a good position to win ballgames. We just couldn't finish the job.

Hopefully we can do this all over again. But there's a long way to go.
counts
That's all that counts for us right now.
bat closer couple far glad needed outfield pitchers power
I know I can play every day in this league. As far as the (Jays') moves, I didn't even think, 'Gee I'm glad they didn't make any outfield moves. We got a couple of pitchers we needed. We needed a closer and we got that. We needed a power bat and we got that. Wow!
