I just thought we needed all the leadership we could get in this game. I liked the way Noah played in his last two outings. I believe he could have won the game for us tonight. We just didn't play well enough to win.

There was a big difference ... whether it was the puck control or the speed, execution. They were much the sharper team. They had the momentum from the start of the game, and we couldn't turn it around.

We didn't know Al was leaving, but I wanted a contingency plan if he did leave us high and dry, which he did. But he didn't. He knew we had a goalie. Would he have still left? Probably. But at least from our perspective, it wasn't like the whole team was depending on Al Montoya.

Too many turnovers, too many mistakes and too many penalties. The penalties were costly. And the short-handed goal was huge. We had some isolated chances but didn't generate enough.

I told them we don't deserve to be in the tournament unless we have a good weekend. If we go home with two losses, there's no way we should be in that tournament.
