beat certainly great team tonight
They've got a great team and if you're going to beat them you have to be at your best. Certainly tonight we weren't.
advantage bottom few gone half hit last opportunity position runners scoring tied took
They had runners in scoring position and it was tied at one and with a big hit there things could've gone a different way. We took advantage of an opportunity in the bottom half of the inning without getting many hits. You have to be opportunistic and we've been able to do that the last few weeks.
choice class college compete continue draft group immediate impact level ncaa numerous potential return talent
This is an outstanding class with numerous potential draft choices. The talent level in this group will make an immediate impact as we continue to compete for SEC championships, postseason NCAA berths and a return to the College World Series.
answer awe coming fact runs south whenever
Quinnipiac isn't in awe of South Carolina, and they are coming down here to win. The fact that we were able to answer whenever they got some runs was big.
best case eight gone next possibly rest six year
Probably the best case for him would be (out) six to eight weeks. If he does have to have surgery, then he'll be gone for the rest of the year and possibly next year.
bats couple early helped job past relax scoring today
Probably scoring early today helped us relax a little better offensively. We'll do a better job with the bats than we've done in the past couple of weekends.
doctor next ready season time
Everything went well. The doctor told him that he should be ready to go by the time next season begins.
great players plays smart teams veteran
There's nothing better than a veteran team, that plays hard, that plays smart and has great leadership. But there's some teams where you have young players on and this is one of them.
bishop doubt environment nice ready saw sign thick tough type
I doubt he ever saw that sign at Bishop England. But he's in the fire. He's a tough kid. He's got thick skin, and he's ready for this type of environment and did a nice job.
brings field guys older vocal
He brings energy. He brings leadership. We've got some older guys, but he's the most vocal of the group. Guys look to him, and to have him on the field is a plus.
arguably best innings pitch three
He pitched three innings out of 29 (against Kentucky). If he's our best guy, and arguably he is right now, we need to pitch him more innings.
expect runs teams
You would expect runs to be at a premium. But you can never tell when these teams get together.
begin effective except lefty nice
The lefty they had out there to begin with was very effective and did a nice job. We really didn't do much offensively except for the one inning.
confidence game
If he's not in the game, he's in the game when it's on the line. That's how much confidence I have in him right now.
