experience ground ran
I just ran him into the ground because I wanted him to get the reps. ? I wanted him to experience how to play when you're tired.
gone gotten time
Every time he's gone out there, he's gotten better and better. He did an outstanding job.
ball contact good job putting stayed threw
It's the first game, I thought he threw ball pretty good. You got to give them some credit, they stayed on some pitches. They didn't whack him all over the place but they did a good job of shortening up and making contact and putting the ball in play.
ball hitting
He's hitting the ball well now but he's not where he should be yet. ? He's not doing things right and he's still getting his hits.
chance finish fire trying
He didn't really show any fire there. You're out there trying to give him a chance to get through the inning and finish and there was just nothing there.
chances high hits hitting mistake pitcher win
I'll take my chances with any of those guys. Baez is not hitting as high as we would like, but I like my chances with them. If that pitcher makes one mistake and Baez hits it over the wall, we win the game.
knew smoked
He really smoked that ball. I knew they weren't going to get to it, but I didn't think it was going to go that far.
good threw
He pitched a good game. He threw a lot of strikes. Not to take anything away from him, but he threw a good game.
against ball catch throw until
You can't really say anything until you put them up against the other guys, but the one thing that we do is catch the ball and throw it pretty good.
