I thought it was going to be a long night. Stevens got off to a hot start, and we found ourselves down by a large deficit early. Our guys deserve a lot of credit for the perseverance and the character they showed by prevailing the way they did. It would have been a lot easier for us to just fold.

He averaged 20 points a game despite every opponent's defense being geared to stop him. The big thing was he had such a quick release. He could get off any shot he wanted to.
