cool funny good guard hear respect somebody thinks tough
It was funny. You know, Manu's a competitor, and I do a good job, I'd like to say, on him, but he's a tough guard for me. So it's just a respect level. It's cool to hear somebody thinks you're that way, especially being the All-Star that he is, so it was flattering.
against critical game good irrelevant people praised shoot start team watch
It was critical for us to get off to a good start against a team that was a little undermanned. I shoot the ball. ... People who know and watch the game know what you can do. If you get praised for it or not, it is irrelevant for me.
attack beat decided game guess time win
It was embarrassing. We were getting beat pretty good. I had been struggling. I guess I had been moping a little. I just decided I wasn't going to do it anymore. . . . At this time of year, it's about being in attack mode. Win or lose, make or miss, you have to be on the attack. We have to be like that in Game 3.
ball bottom dropped everybody line second speculate
Everybody can speculate why we dropped the ball there in the second half, but the bottom line is we did.
face feels felt lets life personal sure team
That's personal right there. That's how a person feels when a team lets him go. I'm sure he felt unappreciated. I know he's got something to prove. Film is one thing, but actually getting to do it to your face in real life is different.
ball challenge goes good jump ready seeing team
That's a good question. It's been a challenge for us to be ready to play every night. What you're seeing (now) is a team that's not necessarily ready to go when the jump ball goes up.
best came defense eddie locked quarters second seen team third
We are a team of spurts. Eddie really came in and got us going in the second quarter. We really locked down on defense in the third quarter. I thought that was one of the best quarters of defense I've seen this team play all year.
clicking dangerous everybody firing flying lock slow
When we are clicking and we have everybody firing we are a more dangerous team. When they can lock down on one guy, we kind of slow down, but when we are flying and everyone is contributing, that is when we are at our best.
across board deal tough
When we get productivity across the board like that, we're pretty tough to deal with.
breaking collapse good later open opens presence rhythm sooner trust
He's so good at breaking down defenses and making them collapse that all you have to do is find that open seam and get in his vision. You trust that once you're in his vision, sooner or later he's going to find you, and from there it's being in rhythm and shooting. His presence out there is what opens that whole thing up.
cake icing
He's the icing on the cake, so we're just the cake right now.
ahead defense positions step system
This system is (tailored) to him. He's getting us into positions where he's stringing the defense out. He's always one step ahead of the defense.
guard high people percentage reason shot tough
The reason we shot a high percentage is what I think is important. We were able to space. We were very unselfish, and we were out in transition. When we do that, it's tough for people to guard us.
everybody good translated
We've pitched in by committee, and it's translated into everybody having a good year.
