amazing feeling hold winner
It's an amazing feeling to be the winner and to be able to hold this trophy.
crowd hometown obviously supportive team tough towards
I think the International Team is obviously very strong. We know that it's going to be a tough go of it, and we know how supportive the hometown crowd is towards their heroes.
ability best block factor focus game hand ourselves player pride shot talking
As professional golfers, we like to pride ourselves on the ability to block out things and focus in only on the shot at hand and only on the round. You're talking about not just the best player in the game, but the best at being able to do that, to block everything out. I don't think that it will be a factor in Tiger's game at all.
dwell history preparing starting tournament
As much as I want to be part of history, of the history of this tournament and part of the history of the game, it's not something I dwell on. Starting tomorrow, we'll start preparing for Winged Foot.
almost feels finally knew
It almost feels like make-believe. My first thought was, 'I did it! I finally did it!' I knew I could, but I finally did it.
cherish drove manage misses nine shots wonderful
It has been a long day but a wonderful day. I will look back and cherish some of the shots and putts I was able to make. I was able to manage my misses and on the back nine I drove it as well as I ever have.
everybody forget hard proud
I think that's probably been the thing I was most proud of about today's round. On this course, everybody is going to make mistakes. But sometimes it's hard to forget about it and let it go.
advantage athlete chip difficult five generation great guys hit holmes next players putting seeing short talked touches
We talked about this five years ago, that the next generation of players was going to be an athlete who can take advantage of the technology. They hit bombs, but they can also chip and putt. Basically, long-drive guys who can play. That's what we're seeing in J.B. Holmes and Bubba Watson and Villegas, they have great touches with wedges and putting and short game. They are very difficult to beat.
good means played round shooting together
I played OK, I'm not disappointed. I don't like shooting over par, but that just means I need to put a good round together tomorrow.
accustomed added combat course help huge last length needed needing week
I needed to combat the added length here at Augusta. This is the only course that I can think of that I will probably do it. I did it last week to get accustomed to it. I don't know where else I'll end up needing to do that, but it was a huge help here.
becoming challenge field four history magic stand strength tend
I don't think there's any magic in four majors, there can only be four majors, like tennis. There are four tournaments that tend to stand out with history and challenge and strength of field and so forth. This is becoming one of them.
confident finishing game heading year
I feel a lot more confident in my game than I did heading into the other majors. I really want to put everything I have into finishing off the year right.
last maybe shot stride sunday tiger
I'm going to try and keep stride with Tiger and maybe we can have another shot at it on Sunday like we did last year.
ended fun knew playing tough
I knew it was going to be a long, tough day. But in the end, it was real fun and I ended up playing well.
