count fast giant ted
Ted is too fast in the giant slalom to count out. I wouldn't do that.
best came fast focused guys hard race shocking wish
It was shocking today, and I wish it was shocking in the other direction. We had two of the best guys in the race and came up short. Bode was really close. He was fast in training, and he's focused to go hard here. They'll have to live with their performances.
caliber skiing
I'm mystified why he wasn't able to put down a better result. He wasn't skiing at the caliber that he can.
impressed team
I'm just very impressed with the team we've been able to field.
events four olympics
These Olympics aren't over for us. We still have four (men's) events to go. We'll get it done.
games guy job olympic surprising throughout
It's really surprising to see him day in and day out throughout the Games not get it done. It's not been his modus operandi at world championships and Olympic Games to date. He was a guy who showed up and got the job done.
happy quite seen
I'm actually quite happy about what we've seen on the hill.
face needs seconds talk
I never get into an athlete's face 30, 40, 50 seconds after it happens. I need to look at the tape, and he needs to look at the tape, and we need to talk about it.
athlete clearly type
Bode is clearly the type of athlete that comes once every 50 years.
Special. I don't know how he does what he does.
margin shocked won
It was an eyelash. Bode would have won and should have won by a margin that would have shocked people.
answer call question ski states united
I don't know what the answer is. First we have to call the question: Can we still do this together? I think the question Bode has to answer is: Do you still want to be a part of the United States ski team?
act anybody feeling natural tour
They're at the top. They know it. They act like it. And they've been there for a long time. So I think it's only natural that the feeling on the tour is: Anybody but them.
shocking wish
It was shocking today. I just wish it was shocking in the other direction.
