It depends on the day you ask him. I think he's come to terms with the physical toll racing in every event takes on him and plans on being more strategic. But then I've also heard Bode say in passing he's going to ski every race.

It was an eyelash. Bode would have won and should have won by a margin that would have shocked people.

Ted is too fast in the giant slalom to count out. I wouldn't do that.

We had two of the best guys in the race and came up a little short. A lot short, in some regards. Just as shocking as our results were, (it was a) fantastic day for the French.

I think I've probably got one of the best GS (giant slalom) teams in the world.

Getting him experience for Vancouver is part of the equation. But he also is a guy who has stepped up at every level. The bigger the event, the better he performs. On a pure competitive level, he's the wave of the future.

I don't know what the answer is. First we have to call the question: Can we still do this together? I think the question Bode has to answer is: Do you still want to be a part of the United States ski team?

We've been pretty busy cleaning up after our one outspoken cowboy. (Miller) definitely feels entitlement. His impression is that he's really not that much work for us because he's not around much, but he's bar-none twice the work of any other athlete in the program.

It was shocking today. I just wish it was shocking in the other direction.

It was shocking today, and I wish it was shocking in the other direction. We had two of the best guys in the race and came up short. Bode was really close. He was fast in training, and he's focused to go hard here. They'll have to live with their performances.

Our stance on doping hasn't changed. I don't know if that was Bode just saying what was on his mind at the time, but he's going to have to live with that comment now. It's not going to go away.
