I think our team realizes what kind of team Seattle is. Certainly what they are playing for in getting ready for their playoff run. You know what type of effort you are going to get from them.
It's almost like we were the first team ever to lose a playoff game,
I think we've surprised some teams with our patience this year, ... In the past, we've been a throw the ball down the field offense because that's what defenses have allowed us to do. ...That's the nice thing about this offense and (coordinator) Tom (Moore) and his play calling. We usually call what's working. Games are shorter now. We're having longer drives.
I think we're more of a team and kind of feed off each other, ... It's definitely the best camaraderie we've had since I've been here eight years.
Players were surprised and upset emotionally about it. Everybody said a team prayer for coach Dungy and his family.
Any time you get turnovers and that kind of field position, you want to score touchdowns, and we did, ... They weren't letting us pass downfield. It used to be teams wouldn't let us run the ball and we had to throw. Now it's the opposite. They won't let us pass. But the defense is doing its job.
I remember when I first got into the league, I thought how it would be nice to have a year when you were the best. That means your team is probably winning.
My job is to play well offensively and help my team score points. So I feel very responsible every time we lose a game.
It goes without saying, winning against a good team in a hostile crowd on the road, it's just an absolutely huge win.
If your team is going to win, you need to play better than the other quarterback.
If teams keep playing us this way, it's going to be like this.
Certainly our job as an offense to try to score points and that's running the ball, throwing the ball, whatever it is. Somehow, someway we've got to try to score points to help our team win. That's where the focus is and it's pretty easy just to focus on that.
It's kind of boring to me if teams never throw the ball.
Touchdowns to me means that you're scoring points and helping your team win games. You can have a lot of yards and not have points and not win games. So, this only means something because it has helped our teams win games and we won the division today in a competitive AFC West, that's a good thing.
