against ahead bit definitely fill order plan slow time tour work
When you balance it against New Order, New Order don't work or tour relentlessly. We definitely work in our own way and sometimes it's a bit too slow for me, so I like to plan ahead and fill my time up.
ahead attitude came companies countries edits listened minutes nine order radio record single singles song songs sort stuff wrote
If we wrote a song that was nine minutes long, it was nine minutes long, and that was it. That was our attitude back then. A lot of the single edits came about because the different record companies in different countries couldn't get our songs on the radio because they were too long. Because we wouldn't play ball, they went ahead and did their own edits. There was stuff on Singles that I'd never listened to, to be honest. But I was very impressed. Now when I deejay, I actually play a lot of New Order singles, which is great. I sort of rediscovered them.
came festivals months promotion six straight studio time
We came straight out of the studio into six months of promotion then into festivals for six months. We've never really had any time off.
against balance facts group home life sad takes
One of the sad facts of this world is that as you try and balance your group life against your home life, everything takes longer.
consider dance driving left love whenever
I love dance music, it started with me in '88 and has never left me. It's what I consider to be my driving music, whenever I'm in the car!
again fans obviously order quite seemed start stopped
When we stopped New Order and had to start again there was obviously going to be a gap, which to the fans seemed like a quite long one.
anybody cross delighted few hunt laughing mammoth measure music northern roses singers sort stones three together wanting weird work
We're still working on it. We've just been on a mammoth hunt for a singer. Because of the singers the three of us have had in the past, it's sort of a big thing to measure anybody by. As for the music itself, it's a really weird cross between northern soul, reggae, New Order, Stones Roses and the Smiths. The three basses work together on a few tracks, which I was delighted about, because everyone was laughing at us for wanting to do it.
par songs
There are seven songs finished and on par with any that are on Siren's.
That's it really, at the moment I wouldn't say I was influenced by any one thing in particular.
And they do tend to be fast and up, because that's how I like to drive.
stopped
Actually when we stopped New Order I was busier than ever. The only gaps have been while we've been writing.
tends
Democracy for us tends to be has to do with who shouts the loudest!
amaze market order says time
They amaze me most of those remixes. Some of them are crap. But every time I complain, someone comes up and says they are for a different market that you don't understand. Some of the New Order ones are really great, though.
people ten
I'd rather have ten people who are mad for it than ten thousand who aren't.
