The pitching was excellent. The pitchers definitely should've had a better outcome. We had two errors that cost us two runs, plus a couple of mental errors that cost us another run or two.

It was probably our most complete game we've played so far. I can't say enough about our pitching so far this season.

It was good to see the guys come out and swing the bat today. And we had great pitching and great defense. It was one of our better overall games against an improved Burgin team.

We did a good job scoring late, which has kind of been our (modus operandi) for most of the season. It was a good weekend for us.

Will had thrown a couple innings in relief, but this was his first varsity start, and he threw strikes and did well. The key is working ahead in the count.

We've got a lot of baseball under our belt, and we felt like we should've won at least one of the two games we lost, if not both. But overall, we're pretty well pleased.

For C.J., going to a place where he can go in and play was important, and he's getting to go to school for free.
