We just had to start from scratch. She was very self conscious about the situation because she couldn't smile. She also needed some function back, other than just the cosmetics.

We always are watching and if we know of a patient who has needs we're willing to help them out. We're fortunate to live in a community where we have a lot of people who are educated on dental issues and are willing to take care of their teeth. We don't see a lot of these cases.

We can donate money and things as we have to the Red Cross and various organizations, but we saw this as a great opportunity to help one individual. That's what makes dentistry worth doing, is when someone can have a little bit of dignity restored and feel like they can smile again.
